Karen Sullivan 2020

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we, the family of Karen Frances Sullivan, announce her passing at home on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
Born in Sydney on June 19, 1962, she was the daughter of the late George and Pauline (Somers) Snow.
Karen was the love of Dougie’s life for 38 wonderful years. It was no secret the admiration, dedication and love she had for her children and grandchildren, they were the light of her life and she took great pride in spending time with each of them. Karen equally enjoyed being a part of her grandchildren’s lives and spending time with them. Road trips to Halifax was one of her favourite past times, as she not only loved to shop, but also got the chance to watch her granddaughter play ringette. Karen had a lot of love to give, not only for her family, but also for her friends, whether it be spending summers by the pool, time out with her bingo buddies or simply lending an extra hand and listening ear to her co-workers. She was a dedicated and a hard-working lady who loved her job and will be dearly missed by all who she considered her work family at C200.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Dougie; daughter, Shauna (Keith) Snow, Middle Sackville; sons, Stephen (Kayla) and Billy (Stephanie), both of Sydney; sisters, Joan Snow, Sydney, Judy (Brent) Law, Calgary, Darlene (Joe) Hareguy, Sydney, Jeannie (Glenn) MacNeil, Toronto and Margaret Ann (George) Snow, Gardiner; brother, George, Sydney; mother-in-law, Mary Sullivan, Sydney; grandchildren, Kyler, Gracie, Layah, Jackson, Aiden, Emily and Ryan; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Brian) Costigan, Sydney, Phyllis (Eddie) MacDonald, Sydney, Patricia Smits, Sydney and Carol (Shane) Doyle, Moncton; and brother-in-law, John (Dee Dee), Sydney. She will be sadly missed by Dougie, her children and grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Karen was predeceased by her step-daughter, Jennifer Marie and father-in law, Kareem.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us to mourn the passing and celebration of the life of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Funeral service will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the main concourse at C200, with Rev. Stephen Mills officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
