Obituary of Julia Beatrice Slauenwhite
SLAUENWHITE, Julia Beatrice – Age 76, Dayspring, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Sheet Harbour, she was a daughter of the late George and Norma (Fisher) Clarke.
Prior to retirement, Julia was a long-time employee of National Sea in Lunenburg working in the fish processing division. She was also a much loved housekeeper and sitter for many working professionals in Bridgewater with whom many of them she has created lasting and cherished friendships.
Surviving are her husband, Roger Slauenwhite, Dayspring; her children, Todd (Cindy) Gaudet, Bridgewater; Lisa (Andrew) MacAdam, Conquerall Mills; Tim (Anna) Gaudet, Midville Branch; grandchildren, Paige Vander Zwaag and Kobe Vander Zwaag both of Halifax, Jaxx Gaudet, Midville Branch; sisters, Helen Slauenwhite, Muriel Slauenwhite, both of Dayspring; Catherine Durling, Florida; brothers, George (Susan) Clarke, Hammonds Plains; Arthur (Rosann), Halifax; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Clifford Joseph Gaudet; sisters, Louise O’Brien, Gereldine Slauenwhite, Edith Fancey and Jennette Comeau.
A private graveside service will be held in Saint Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Bridgewater. Father Jim O’Connor officiating. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
