Judith Desserre, born April 3 1961, a registered nurse and lifelong resident of Dryden, ON, passed away peacefully Friday, February 7, 2020.
Judy is survived by her partner Ross Tetley, children Jay Palker, Jeff Palker (Jess Northcott), Jessica Smeltzer (Stephen Smeltzer) and the pride and joy of her life, her 9 grandchildren; Avikka Palker, Ariana Smeltzer, Lyrika Palker, Jett Palker, Jaxx Palker, Brock Smeltzer, Jaya Palker, Easton Smeltzer and Jessa Palker, her parents Ron and June Desserre, siblings Maureen Desserre, Randy Desserre and Allan Desserre as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Judy was predeceased by her granddaughter Brielle Smeltzer.
Judy’s love of life, laughter and family were her driving force. Her passions included her “angels on the hill” at Dryden Hospital, sewing and quilting, creating and running JP’s Roadhouse, camping, picking berries, cards and gardening and never saying “no” to her grandchildren.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph School through Stevens Funeral Homes P.O Box 412, Dryden, ON P8N2Z1.
