Joseph’s Obituary
Perry, Joseph Barry “Rusty” – 79 It is with great sadness that the family shares the passing of Rusty. He passed away suddenly en-route to Yarmouth Regional Hospital on March 24th 2020. He was born on January 12th, 1941 in Jordan Falls, where he grew up and spent all but 2 years of his life. He was the son of the late Hazel (Bower) and Avery Perry. Rusty worked in various fields over the years, including pipefitting, mechanic work, and auto body work. He was very musically talented, with skills in guitar, keyboard, and accordion among others. He enjoyed fishing and spent a lot of time fishing in the Jordan River, and taking his sons to try their hand at it as well. In his later years, you would often find him working on jigsaw puzzles (he finished over 130 in 2019), watching the Nascar races, or catching up on the news. Rusty is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Linda (née Bradley), sons Mark (Nona) and Duane of Jordan Falls and Scott (Rhonda) of Yarmouth, sister Muriel “Sis” Young, brothers Terrance (Shirley), Gordon (Jane), Raymond (Shelly), grandsons Kevin, Cody and Morgan, granddaughter Michelle, step-grandchildren Gregory and Nikita, great-grandson Lochlan, step-great grandchildren Isabella, Octavia, and Theo. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother Wayne, sister Ruth “Toni”, and infant brothers Avery Jr, Roger, and William. Rusty will certainly be missed by his loving family and friends, and we are grateful for the memories that we all have. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. You may sign the guestbook at www.huskilson.net
