Obituary of John Kenneth Marsters
Age 70, of Mount Denson, passed away at home on Friday, February 7, 2020. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Edison and Helen (Warner) Marsters.
John spent most of his working career at Bird Stairs in Burnside as an Inside Sales Rep. He was a longtime member of the Windsor Lions Club and current King Lion. John was a valued community volunteer and will be missed by many, including his regular Tim Hortons coffee crew that he met with on a daily basis. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting and fishing. In the last few years he enjoyed spending time bass fishing at Blue Beach.
John leaves to mourn his wife, Delta (Munro) Hartt; son, Kenneth (Lora), Edmonton; daughters, Candace (Mike Innes), Kentville; Meaghan, Kentville; grandchildren, Madyson Brown, Reagan Marsters, Taytum Innes, Kamden Wellwood and Ryah Innes; brother, Edison “Eddie”, Sackville; sister, Marion (Gary) Pitts, New Minas; stepchildren, Jackie, Dennis, Steven and Heather Hartt; several step-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild; lifelong friend, Robert Sanford as well as, several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where a Lions Service followed by a musical tribute to celebrate John’s life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 15. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. There will be a private family interment in Mount Denson Community Cemetery, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to Windsor Lions Club, PO Box 147, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0.
