Obituary for Mr. John Willemse
WILLEMSE, John
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 10, 2020 at the age of 78. Beloved husband to Nellie (Derikx). Loving dad to Christine (Sean) Johnston, Anthony (Alynn) Willemse, Patricia (Heath) Hajduk, Diana (Zane) Yount and Melissa (Phil) Pocock. Cherished Grandpa of Kyle, Alex, Nathan, Sydney, Elijah, Josh, Sarah, Colin, Leah and Ethan. Dear brother of 2 brothers and 3 sisters in the Netherlands. John retired from GM transmission Plant as a welder in 2006. John was a long time member of the Es Gospel Community Church volunteering at many events as well as mission trips to the Dominican Republic. He loved gardening, growing his own garlic and donating food grown to local food banks and the Downtown Mission. A special thank you to all the staff at Sun Parlour Home, WRH Ouellette Campus, Erie Shores Health Care for all their care and compassion. John is resting at the Kennedy Funeral Home Limited (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. N, Es on Friday March 13, 2020 from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday March 14,2020 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Victoria Greenlawn Cemetery.
