John Arthur Rae, Pappa John, at 89 years of age passed away peacefully August 3, 2020 at Friendly Manor, Deseronto.
Pappa had a passion for music, woodcarving and animals. The last 15 years of his life he spent at Fortune Island Lodge fishing and entertaining his family and friends. He touched the lives of many people with his outgoing personality and sense of humor.
Wonderful father to Darlene Williams, née Rae (Jim Williams), predeceased by his only loving son John Wayne Rae (Kim Rae). Loved by his youngest brother Robert Rae (Phyllis Rae). Predeceased by his brothers Joe Rae (Ernie Rae), Danny Rae (Betty Rae) and his sister Barbara Russell (Mel Russell). So loved by his grandchildren Brendan Rae, Garrett Rae, Brenda Scholl, née Williams (Brandon Scholl), Bryan Williams and Jimmy Williams. He will be missed very much by his special nieces, nephews, extended family and many many loving friends. The staff at Friendly Manor have been his family for the last several years. You couldn’t ask for a better place to call home. A celebration of life to follow. In lieu of flowers we would dearly appreciate any donations to be made to Friendly Manor, 9756 2, Deseronto, ON.
