1920-2020
Jessie Gardner of Riverview peacefully passed away on
December 30, 2020 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Cole Harbour, NS,
she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Annie (Way) Bissett. In
her working career she worked at Eaton’s and The Moncton
Hospital in food services.
She was a lifelong ballroom dancer and avid traveller, always
looking forward to the next trip.
Jessie will be remembered and missed by her daughters Linda
Gardner, Karen (John) Silliker, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Gardner,
grandchildren: Lisa Gardner, Tanya (Bert) Richard, Shannon (TJ Dunbar)
Gardner, Devon Godfrey, Gillian (Josh) Canning, great-grandchildren
Logan, Molly, Piper, Catherine, Nicholas, Isabelle, Pierre and several
nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents, Jessie was predeceased by her husband
Leonard Gardner, son Derek and sister Annette Hatton.
A special thank you to the nurses and staff of 5100 at The
Moncton Hospital for care and compassion given to Jessie during her
stay.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or
funeral service. A family interment will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and
Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007). In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to Friends of The Moncton
