Obituary of Jean Barker Graham (nee Smithson)
Jean Graham (nee Smithson) beloved wife of the late Allen Graham of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2020 at the age of 91 years.
Jean was born in Lemberg, SK on April 1, 1929.
Jean was a very kind, caring and easy-going person and was loved by all she knew. Jean enjoyed gardening, crocheting, exercise, walking her dog and baking. Famous for her homemade buns, there was always a competition to see who ate the most. She cherished her days at Trico where she did deep water running and played cards with a great group of friends. She was an avid Calgary Stampeders and Calgary Flames fan but her two favorite hockey players to watch were her grandchildren Dylan & Chelsea. She would attend as many games as possible to cheer them on.
Jean is survived by her children Connie Graham (Paul) of Calgary, Barb Clark (Keith), also of Calgary; daughter in law Lori Graham; five grandchildren, Alex Graham (Caitlin), Jared Graham (Greg), Scott Graham (Amanda), Dylan Clark, Chelsea Clark. Jean is also survived by her sister Louise Huseby of Regina; nieces Valerie Huseby (Mike), Maureen Huseby (Keith) and her wonderful companion, her dog Kipper.
Jean was predeceased by loving husband Al in 1993; son Jim Graham in 2018; parents Frances and Charlie and brother-in-law Howie Huseby in 2016.
Celebration of Life will be held at McDougall United Church, 8516 Athabasca Street SE, Calgary, AB on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 11 a.m.
