Jean Popiel (née Dauncey)
Passed away peacefully on May 28, 2020 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of John for 52 wonderful years. Loving and devoted mother of Amy and husband Michael Wright, and Melissa Popiel. Proud grandmother of Emma, Lauren, and Benjamin Wright. Dear sister of the late Burton (Wilma) and survived by Barry (Erika) Dauncey. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Jean was born in Windsor, Ontario to the late Moss and Emma Dauncey. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, known and loved by many in her congregation. Jean was the living example of caring, kindness, and love, and will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation with the family will be by scheduled appointment on Monday, June 1, 2020. To arrange a time, please call Families First, 1065 Lauzon Road, East Windsor, 519-969-5841. A Celebration of Jean’s life will take place and be available online from home on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. ET. Private family burial at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
