August 6, 1949 – December 9, 2020
The passing of Jean Janzen, 71 years, occurred at Rosthern Hospital on December 9, 2020. Jean is survived by her husband, Peter Janzen; children, Richard (Sandra) Janzen, Cory Janzen, Ryan (Jeanine) Janzen, and Jay Janzen (Dani Zaritsky); 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; siblings, Ron (Olga) Heinrichs, Ed (Nettie) Heinrichs, and Alice (Otto) Funk. Jean is predeceased by her parents, Peter & Margaret Heinrichs; grandson, Brock Janzen; and sisters, Dorothy and Annabelle.
The Private Family Funeral Service, by invitation only, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Rosthern Mennonite Church, officiated by Pastors Wilmer & Barb Froese. Public viewing for relatives and friends will be held at Funk’s Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 7:30- 8:30 P.M. This will be a walk through viewing only, immediate family will not be in attendance; please wear a mask and wait outside of the Chapel until invited in to view. The Private Family Service will be livestreamed on the Rosthern Mennonite Church Facebook page. Please request to friend the Facebook page of the church before 10:30 AM on Saturday in order to view the live-streamed service. Interment will take place at Rosthern Cemetery.
