Obituary
Passed peacefully away on Saturday, July 25, 2020, age 76 years at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by her father and mother Ralph and May, father and mother in law Harvey and Doris. Siblings: Edwin, Jim and Florence. Sisters in law Catherine and Catherine. Left with fond memories her husband of 51 years Donald, her daughters: Tracy and Darlene (Mike). Three grandchildren: Tyler, Holly and Madison and one great grandson, Dawson who will be arriving any day. Siblings: Don, Doreen (Wilf), Frank (Nina), brother in law Dorman, sister in laws: Judy (Peter), Kay (Dave) and Patsy. She also has numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was very active prior to her illness. She enjoyed her daily walks around Mount Pearl, participating in exercise classes at the Reid Community Centre and water fitness at the Summit Centre. For 30 years she enjoyed spending her time at her summer home in Old Shop, tending to her flowers and shrubs and feeding the birds. Special thanks to her Community Health Nurses who made her time at home more comfortable, the staff at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre for their kindness and compassion during her treatments, and the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Miller Centre who cared for her in her final days.
Forever in our minds and always in our hearts. She will be forever missed.
