  1. Debbie, Lori and families. I’m so sorry for the loss of your Mother, my Aunt Jean. I know my mom is very sad she didn’t get to see her again, but Debbie you and I did our best to communicate on their behalf and I’m grateful for that, my Mom is also. Please keep in touch.

May you find comfort in these words

“After the clouds, the sunshine; after the winter, the spring; after the shower, the rainbow; for life is a changeable thing. After the night, the morning, bidding all darkness cease, after life’s cares and sorrows, the comfort and sweetness of peace. – Helen Steiner Rice”

  2. On behalf of my mother, Mona Widenmaier (nee Duncombe) and the rest of the family,I would like to express our condolences to your family on the passing of her sister.
My mother, Mona, is 99 years old and has difficulty communicating, but she assures me she will write a memory or two about Jean, her younger sister. She feels people need to know more about her, especially her younger years. Mom even put Jean’s picture on the cover of the book she wrote, Parcels of Gold, about Duncombe life back then. Personally, I lived a few years on the farm when Jean was about 13. I regret that we have not been able to keep in touch with her over the years.

  3. Thank you Lloyd. I just saw this today. Mom would talk about you being on the farm with them. She took you to get corn from the fields once and never told anybody. When you both got back they were frantic wondering where you were.
