Obituary of James “Jim” Kirkey
James (Jim) Kirkey
In loving memory of Mr. Jim Kirkey who passed away peacefully at the Northdale Manor on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at the age of 90.
Dear Father of Viviane Halsall (John), Roger Kirkey (Wendy), Richard Kirkey (Jo-Anne), Lorraine Kirkey (Carmen Binette), Normand Kirkey (Francine), John Kirkey, Lucille Kirkey (Yvon), James Kirkey (Edith); grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He also leaves behind his siblings, Marie Carter, Theresa Willard, Vincent Kirkey and many extended family members.
Predeceased by his loving wife Angeline Kirkey on October 7, 2019, his parents Michael and Mary Kirkey, his brother Eugene Kirkey, his sisters Loretta Smith and Cecile Waugh and daughter in-law Tania Kirkey.
Master Gardener, Lover of bread, potatoes, puzzles, old country music, dancing, western novels and blue spruce trees. Story Teller. Hunter. Fisherman. Brother. Husband. Dad. Pépère.
Cremation has taken place. The family wanted to celebrate his life as the covid restrictions lifted but being unable to do so a private graveside service will take place in the fall.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northdale Manor will be greatly appreciated.
