It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Jacqueline Whelan of Mooring Cove announces her passing after a courageous battle with cancer. Jacqueline passed away at her home in Mooring Cove on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020 at the age of 55. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband Brian of 9 years; daughter, Hannah Butt of Mooring Cove; step-daughter, Tamara Whelan of CBS; step-son, Christopher Whelan of St. John’s; brothers, Bobby Nolan (Glenda) of Mooring Cove, Leo Nolan (Wendy) of Mooring Cove, Rodney Nolan (Stephanie) of Mooring Cove, and Paul Nolan of Ontario; sisters, Elaine Nolan of Garnish, Margaret Grandy (Barry) of Garnish, Joan Caines (Morley) of Garnish, Bride Drake of Creston South, Liz Stacey (Phonse) of Creston South; brother-in-law, Boyd Halfyard (Madeline) of Dunville; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Halfyard (Danny) of Dunville, and Tina Otis (Yves) of Alberta; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Jacqueline was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Mary Nolan; parents-in-law, Aubrey and Mary Whelan.
The Whelan Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes in Marystown on Sunday, December 20th from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm with a vigil to follow at 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Monday, December 21st, 2020 at 10:30 am.
Inurnment to follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown.
In Jacqueline’s memory donations may be made to the Daffodil Place or flowers gratefully accepted.
