Obituary for Irene Anneliese Ruth Smolka
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Smolka on December 24, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton, in her 80th year. She was surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Dieter “Nick” Smolka for 56 years. Much loved mother of Robert (Jason), Michael and Diane. Irene will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and especially her fourlegged friends. A special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital Juravinski Tower and the Firestone Clinic, as well as the nurses from Bayshore for their kind and compassionate care. Cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral service.
