Hugh Willard Dickinson
1946-2020
Hugh W. Dickinson of Barony, NB passed away on February 1, 2020 at the
Upper River Valley Hospital. Hugh was born on June 28, 1946 at
Woodstock, NB, a son of the late Roy and Clara (Patterson) Dickinson.
Hugh was a hardworking man who enjoyed the simple things of life. He
was loved by all who knew him. He loved both his church friends and
his wife and children dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Susan (Black) Dickinson; a daughter,
Lindsay Dickinson ( James Patmore), Calgary, AB; a son, Jonathan
Dickinson, Toronto, ON; three brothers, Roy (Irene), Island View, NB,
James Dickinson and Ed Dickinson (Terry), both of Woodstock, NB; a
sister, Joan Sabean, Fredericton, NB; a sister-in-law, June Dickinson
(Carl) and a brother-in-law, Bob Black (Ginette); several nieces,
nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Fred and
brothers-in-law, Arthur Dutcher and Clarence Sabean.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB next Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 pm and again on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 12 to 3 pm,
followed by the funeral service at 3 pm in the funeral home chapel
with Rev. Ryan Farrell and Rev. Carl and Evelyn Brewer officiating. A
reception will follow in the funeral home dining room. Interment will
be at a later date at Otis Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Hugh, the family
has suggested the Nackawic Wesleyan Church, Otis Cemetery or Monday
Night Music in Woodstock (cash only please).
The family wishes to thank Dr. Ramos, Dr. G. MacDonald, Dr. Galvis and
the staff of 2East URVH for the excellent care they provided to Hugh
during his final days.
