It is with great sadness and love that we say goodbye to our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Christine Hoffman who passed away on May 21 2020 at the age of 78 years.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Rudy; son Greg (Janet); grandchildren Michelle, Abby, and Kyra; great grandson Lincoln; sister Jean (Don) Dumkee; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Victor and Myrtle and brothers Jim and Brian.
Christine was born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta and raised on the family farm north of Gwynne. She graduated nursing school from the Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary and worked in Calgary, Fort McMurray and Edmonton. She loved her work and was gentle and compassionate to those she cared for. Christine enjoyed gardening, needlework, travel and reading.
Cremation has taken place and interment will follow at a later date.
The family wishes to extend a thank you to the staff of Hardisty Care Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Christine’s honor may be made directly to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation or charity of choice.
