Helen Kennedy nee Losito May 16

February 6, 1928 – May 16, 2020
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Helen peacefully in Montreal at age 92. Predeceased by husband Kevin, son Graeme, brother Albert & sister Mary. She is survived by and will be forever cherished by her 3 children Karen (Bill), Paul & Ronald (Kristin). Helen will be lovingly missed by her 8 grandchildren Stephanie (James), Kyle (Nicole), Corey (Jill), Kayla, Victoria, Brandon, Jason & Lindsay and 7 great grandchildren Liam, Isabella, Charlotte, Cole, Kate, Caden & Nathan as well as brother Ray, sister in law Carine, sister in law Barbara and numerous relatives & friends.
Helen & Kevin moved to Port Cartier early in their married life where they raised their 3 children, became active in every aspect of small town living and made friendships that would last a lifetime. Helen was an accomplished pianist & musician. Her talents led her to perform wherever she visited including Montreal, Chicago, Florida, Jamaica and Edmonton. Whether at a bonfire on the beach in Port Cartier, on stage or with family & friends, Helen was always ready for a sing a long with her piano, organ or accordion. Her passion for music, love of scrabble & her brilliant mind will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her. We miss you mom.
Due to the pandemic a celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2021. Donations can be made to Montreal’s Heart of the City Piano Program at montrealheartofthecity.com Messages of condolences can be sent to voluntas.ca
