Helen Doucet (nee Konkin) passed away on November 22, 2020 peacefully at home. She was born in and grew up in Castlegar BC. Helen married Ray Doucet and settled in Prince George BC where they enjoyed a life of travel until he sadly passed away in 1979. She returned to Castlegar in 1983 to care for her parents and made many friends in the community.
Helen is survived by one niece, three nephews and many grand-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents Pete and Helen Konkin, and sisters Mary Coltart and Olga Bonderoff.
The family would like to thank her friends Denise Pappin, Isabel Saprikin and Colleen Buchanan in addition to the many other friends, neighbours and extended family who kept an eye out for Helen in her final years. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Diabetes Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society, where Helen volunteered many years. No service by Helen’s request.
