It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Catherine Smith, beloved wife of the late Vern Smith, announces that she passed away on Thursday, August 27th, 2020 at the age of 93 years. Mom was born on July 4th, 1927 in Nanton, Alberta to George and Zelda Burke. She is survived by her loving family, son Dean (Daimy); daughters, Terry (Clint) Fairhurst and Holly (Michael) Finn; grandchildren, Tylar (Wynona) Smith, Shelly (Colt) Smith/David, Greg (Jessi) Fairhurst, Brian Fairhurst, Melissa (Firas) Finn/Mansour, and Sandy (Willie Hyndman) Finn; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Smith, Bailey Smith, Adrian Smith, Liam Smith, Adam Beck, Brandon Beck, Jubran Mansour, Omar Mansour and Mikhail Mansour and Willow Hyndman; great great grandson Maverick Beck; sister Lorrian (Alf) Aasen of Lethbridge. Helen will also be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. A family graveside service will be held at the Brooks Cemetery. Rev. Ken Wells officiating. In memory of Helen, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to a charity of choice.
