Hazel’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the families of Hazel Isabel Davis announce her passed peacefully away at the Corner Brook Long Term care palliative care unit, in Corner Brook, NL, , on Saturday, June 6th, 2020, at the age of 90 years.
Leaving to mourn with wonderful loving memories her daughter Janice (Walter Pittman), son’s Colin (Lenora), and Everett (Phyllis), her grandchildren; Gerard (Nicole), Desmond (Janice), Flora (Jeff), Nicole (Sheldon), BJ (Kirby), Pamela (Keith) Hunter, her great grandchildren; Camilla, Emma, Cody, Avery, Noelle, Clara, Chase and Grayson. Her brother-in-laws; Henry (Siliva), and Willis Tilley, her sister-in-law; Christine Davis, and a group of nephews and nieces. Hazel was predeceased by her husband of 70 years; Leander, daughter; Donella, her parents; Dulcie and John Nicholas, her sister; Caroline, brother; Colin, her brother-in-laws; Edward Davis, Azirah Fradsham, and Steve Budden, sister-in-law; Florence Tilley, mother and father-in-law; Olive and Arthur Davis.
Hazel was born in Jackson Arm, where she lived until she went teaching in Coney Arm, and Sop’s Island, were she met and married Leander. She joined the first Anglican Church women Association in 1948. Where she held all executive position during her 72 years of membership.
Due to the Covid-19. Government restrictions, there will be a private family viewing for immediate family only and The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 9th, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Michael’s & All Angels Anglican Church in Pollards Pt, NL, with The Rev Charlene Laing officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot, Anglican Cemetery.
