Obituary of Harry James Whiteside Hudson
Peacefully at QHC-Belleville General Hospital on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in his 75th year. Son of the late Harry and Eileen (nee Whiteside) Hudson. Harry is survived by his son Bill Hudson, his daughter Emily Hudson, both of Belleville and by his grandson, Nikolai Hudson. He is also remembered by brother Donald (Deborah) Hudson of Milford, the mother of his children Helen Kmera and his nieces and nephew, Lorraine, Christine, Stephen and their families. After high school Harry enrolled in a Mechanical Technology Program at Ryerson University. Upon graduation he traveled overseas installing and maintaining heavy equipment and conveyors for cement plants and mining companies. His stories were fascinating about the local people and their cultures in South Korea, Ecuador, Turkey and the Caribbean. Harry also completed his pilot’s license and enjoyed racing his Shark at Prince Edward Yacht Club and cruising for many years with his canine companions, most recently with Skipper. A Private Graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. Arrangements entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel (613-968-2273).
