Harold “Benny” Edwards

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Harold Edwards known to many as “Benny”.
At age 89 Benny peacefully ascended in the early morning on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Sunrise of Mississauga Seniors Assisted Living.
Benny is predeceased by his Mother Eva, Father Manasseh, his wife Una, Brothers Manley (Bertie), Errington (Bishop), and Sister Amy May (Beryl).
He is fondly remembered by his dear friend Patricia, Sisters, Monica (Betty), Margaret (Birdie) and Nellie (Boogsie) Brother, Winston (Bobby), Brothers and Sisters in Laws, Numerous Nieces and Nephews, and many close friends in Canada, Jamaica England, and the United States.
Benny was born in Kingston Jamaica, first immigrated to England in the 1950s, and settled in Canada in the late 1960s.
Benny was a machinist for many years at Massy Ferguson, traveled the world extensively, was an avid photographer and a passionate bowler. He was an active member of bowling clubs in Mississauga and Toronto, winning many trophies over the years, and a member of the 55 Plus Senior Club.
We would like to thank all his caregivers at Sunrise of Mississauga in particular the 4th floor reminisce staff who fondly remember Ben for his beautiful smile that lit up a room.
Benny was cherished by many and he will live in our hearts forever.
Due to current restrictions in place, there will be no public visitation. A live video streaming of the service will be held on Wednesday, December 30 2021 at 3:00 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to Benny’s charity of choice The Salvation Army of Jamaica
