Gordon’s Obituary
O’CONNELL, Gordon Churchill – 75, Barrington, formerly of Clark’s Harbour, passed away on July 28, 2020, at Bay Side Home, Barrington. Born April 14, 1945, he was a son of the late Victor O’Connell and Beulah (Goodwin). Gordon loved his sports and spent his time enjoying watching hockey and baseball on the television. His favourite teams were the Toronto Maple Leafs and the New York Yankees. When he lived in Clark’s Harbour whenever there was a game being played at the F. A. Brannen Memorial Park, Gordon would be there to watch. Gordon sometimes would help take tickets and other small volunteer work at the ball field and was even given a plaque thanking him for his service. He is survived by his brothers, Herman O’Connell, ON; Lester O’Connell, NB; E. Bruce O’Connell, ON; Wayne O’Connell, NS; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters, Janice Crowell, Margaret Bradshaw, Rosalie Nickerson, and Isabelle Muise. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H. M.
