Gladys Ruth McNutt (MacRae)
McNutt (MacRae), Gladys Ruth – age 75 of Central North River, died June 16, 2020 in the Mira Long Term Care facility.
She was born in Nuttby, November 11, 1944. She was a daughter of the late Ernest MacRae and Freda Irene (Blackmore). She was predeceased by brothers, Eric MacRae, Clayton MacRae, Frederick MacRae, and Boyd MacRae and sister, Doreen (Murdoch).
She worked at Stanfield’s as a seamstress. She designed and made wool rugs and enjoyed working on the Christmas Tree farm.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Basil McNutt; children, Donna Lynn (Kris) Chahley, Debbie Marie (Steven) Uchacz and Shawn Stanley McNutt; grandchildren, Peyton Chahley, Paige Chahley, Ryan Uchacz and Mathew Uchacz; brothers, Kelsey MacRae, Alec MacRae, Darrell MacRae, Wendell MacRae and Dexter MacRae; sisters, Ardith (Smith), Gail (Thompson), Brenda (Ryan) and Viola (Dalrymple); many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association or Canadian Cancer Society. A “limited family-only” Memorial Service will be live webcast beginning at 10:28 a.m. (Atlantic Time) on Tuesday, June 23 in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro and is available along with online condolences by visiting www.ColchesterCommunity.com
