Gérald “Bet” Roy
1945 ~ 2020
Dieppe, – Gérald “Bet” Roy, 74, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on Wednesday, October 7th, 2020.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Delphis and the late Madeleine Roy (born Gautreau).
Gérald “Bet” will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Délia Roy of Dieppe; his son, Marc Roy (Mary) of Grand Barachois; his daughter, Nicole Roy (Gilles) of Dieppe; Nicole’s sister, Gisèle Thebeau of Moncton; two brothers, Clifford Roy (Louise) and Raymond (Mireille) both of Moncton; three sisters, Anita (Paul Sirois), Lydia (Bill Green) and Rita (late Robert Caissie) all of Moncton; he also leave behind three grandchildren, Justin, Chantale and Cassidy; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Gérald “Bet” was predeceased by his son, Léonard in 1975. He was also preceded by three brothers, Len, Junior and George.
A Celebration of his life will be held at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
