Obituary
ANDERSON, “Nibbs” Born at Newton BC Dec 10, 1927 passed peacefully at Nanaimo Palliative Care Dec 31, 2019.
He will be forever in the hearts of his daughter Cindy (Xavier) and grandson Dal, Nibb’s partner of 28 years Beth Taylor, Beth’s children; Tracy, Randy (Helen), A.J. (Susann) and Bobbie-Jean (Lee), grandchildren Tristan, Savannah, Dyvon, Madison, Niall and Erin and great grandchildren Hayden, Dylan and Mayson.
He worked as a mechanic, and was one of the best carburetor repairmen on the island – this skill certainly helped with what became his favorite hobby – race car driving. Nibbs was inducted into the Victoria Auto Racing Hall of Fame and Museum in 1990.
The love of the outdoors for Nibbs was enjoyed through fishing, skiing, golfing and motorbike riding. He could be found golfing with his friends at Cottonwood and Mt. Brenton and all over the Island as well as Arizona courses. Mt. Washington was his favourite place to ski and he covered miles and miles with his Harley buddies on Vancouver Island.
Nibbs took pleasure in any place where he could look at the water. With Beth by his side, he would spend hours admiring life at sea and enjoying the serenity of the ocean.
Special thanks to the nurses at Palliative Care. Your love and support was a blessing.
To all who were able to visit before Nibbs passed, please know it meant the world to him.
Nibbs requested that there be no service.
