Gary Earl Smith Saturday December 14th 2019 avis de deces

Gary Earl Smith – February 7,1949- December 14,2019. Our dad passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday December 14th,2019, at home surrounded by his three daughters and his family by his side. Dad left his earthly body surrounded by the extreme love he always felt here on earth. Dad was a very giving soul, always putting others first and putting himself last. He was always up for any adventure and always available to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. We made sure his last months were all about him and making sure his every needs were met, keeping him happy and comfortable, while enjoying time spent with his family and friends. Dad is survived by his three daughters; Trina (Todd Roberts), Anna-Mari (Clifford Sisco) and Kristalee (PJ Benoit), also his grandchildren who he loved so much; Megan, Lateasha, D’André, Dante, Marquisé and Keeshon ; and great granddaughter Quinn. Dad was also survived and deeply loved by his siblings Bob, Donnie, Dianne, Pam, Donna and Lynn as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his great-grandson Mason John Edward Grant, and his mother Eleanor June Smith. We would like to thank Dr. Lisa Gillis and palliative care team and also the VON who provided dad excellent care. We will forever love and miss you dad, until we meet again. “It is what it is”. Cremation has taken place under the direction and care of Sweeny’s Funeral home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. As per Gary’s request there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, followed by a spring interment at Town Point Cemetery in Chebogue. Because of his love for music and how important it was for kids to learn how to play, donations of musical instruments may be made to The Music room in care of Dave Durkee at dkdurkee@hotmail.com or (902)881-2354. Online condolences may be made to sweenysfh@eastlink.ca or you may sign the guestbook online at www.sweenysfuneralhome.net
