Obituary of Frank William Nichols
Passed peacefully with his family by his side, at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice two days before his 92nd birthday on November 2, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Turpin). Cherished father of Frank, Cathy, Paula of Sault Ste. Marie, Beth Mills (Enzo) of Thessalon and Laura Cresswell (Bob) of Kincardine. Loving Papa of Frank and Jeff Nichols, Christine Russell Janis (Ted), Stephanie Russell (Nick), Kevin Mills (Tiana), Marabeth Mills (Jamie), Keith Mills (Stacy), Trevor Cresswell (Amy) and Amy Cresswell (Bill). Proud Great Papa of Frank, Dawes and Hannah Janis, Alec and Mack Mills, Molly and Claire Cresswell. Frank is predeceased by his parents Art and Elizabeth Nichols (Lynott), his sister Margaret Ramsay (late Russ) and grandsons William and James Mills and great grandson Owen Mills. Dear brother of Art Nichols (late Jean)(Marie) of Red Deer, Mary Pickard (Wayne) of Batchewana and Jerry Nichols (Edith) of Sault Ste. Marie. Brother-in-law of Betty Gjos (late Stan), late Bob Turpin (Sandra) and the late Yvonne Smith (Danny). Uncle of his very special and thoughtful niece, Karen McAndrew (Kevin). Frank will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many memories with his friends and group at Tim Hortons. A private family Mass will be held. Many thanks to his neighbours, Darwin, Brad and Brian for their dedicated help over the many years. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff and volunteers at ARCH for their compassion and care for Frank. Memorial donations to ARCH (Residents Care and Supplies) would be greatly appreciated.
