Obituary of Fay Edna Montgomery
In loving memory of Fay Edna Montgomery (nee Taylor) who passed away peacefully at Temiskaming Hospital on Sunday September 6, 2020 at the age of 91.
Survived by her children Lynn Miller (David), Terry (Maureen), Ken (Lorrie), Kathy Peterson (Don) and Don (Carol). Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and her brother in law Cliff Leroy.
Predeceased by her husband Ken, sister and brother in law Nora and Bob MacDougall, sister in law Myrt Leroy and her parents Norman and Elizabeth Taylor.
Everyone who knew Fay would instantly recognize her infectious laugh. As a young girl she loved singing with the Temiskaming Philharmonic Choir. On August 28, 1948 Fay married Ken, the love of her life. Monty and Fay were so lucky to have spent many years curling, golfing and travelling together. They were so fortunate to share these times with so many special friends. One of the best things of her many years at Northern Telephone were the wonderful people she worked with. In her later years when she had more leisure time she discovered her talent of sketching and painting. But most of all, what meant the world to Fay was her precious family. We are so blessed to have these special memories of all of our time together. Fay is finally with her Ken again.
The family would like to thank the staff at Northdale Manor (130 Lakeshore Rd. N. New Liskeard, ON., P0J 1P0), Fabienne NP at the Centre de Santé, staff from Home and Community Care and the staff at Temiskaming Hospital for their excellent care.
Cremation has taken place. Due to the current situation there will not be a service or visitation. The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
If desired donations to Northdale Manor would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Montgomery Family,
My sincere condolences to you on the passing of your mom. Fay was a wonderful woman who I was fortunate to have met at the Armstrong family cottage during the months my parents summered on the point at Twin. She and several dear friends enjoyed many a fun get together. I have so many wonderful memories of Fay and the ‘gang’. It is hard to believe that only a few are left today. With sympathies,
Linda Armstrong
Ken and I are so terribly sad to read about Fay’s passing. She and your dad were mainstays in our family history and we treasure the years and years we had, interacting and laughing with them at your family gatherings in New Liskeard or in Texas. always so much fun. We will miss them both so very much. We will remember always. Wishing you peace. ❤️❤️❤️. with love, Dawn and Kenny
