Obituary of Evan Wade
Evan William Wade
October 10, 1985 – August 24, 2020
The son of Vivian Wade and the late Pierre Wade, brother of Alex Wade, brother-in-law of Jessica Jordan, and “fun”cle to Holden and Leila Wade.
Evan excelled to the position of Energy Conservation Manager for Whitby Hydro, and later became the Engineering Specialist for its successor, Elexicon Energy, all the while contending with numerous treatments in a four year battle with melanoma. Evan’s adventurous spirit took him on two lengthy solo motorcycle trips despite ongoing treatments; one of those trips landing him in the heart of Kentucky, where he was able to regale in a close second passion of his, bourbon.
Evan was a caring, gentle, and intelligent man, who will never be forgotten. A gathering for Evan will be held in the future when hugs can be given and smiles once again revealed.
Thanks to the exceptionally caring and compassionate physicians that assisted Evan through to a dignified end. His fortitude and bravery in that moment is without comparison.
