Passed away peacefully at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Home on November 4, 2020. Predeceased by her husband the Honourable William G. Adams (Justice of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador and former mayor of the City of St. John’s), parents George and Jenny Winsor, siblings James and Arthur, niece Catherine Jane Power, brothers and sisters-in-law Earle Byrnes, Charles Adams (Veronica), Fred Adams (Ella), Joan Arklie (Jim), Eric Adams (Marjorie). Left with fond and loving memories her siblings Olga Byrnes, John Winsor (Sarah); sister-in-law Fu Yang Winsor; nieces and nephews on the Winsor side: Dianne Creighton (Terry), Michael, Robin, Peter (Alison Bird), Paul, Beverley Winsor (Ray Laite), Robert Woolfrey (Lynn), Sandra Taylor, Charles Taylor (Donna); nieces and nephews on the Adams side: Charles (Isabel),
John (Linda), Joan Best (Dave), Jim (Susan), Mary Chancey (Jerdon Collins), Harry (Judy), Veronica Walker (Steve), and Andrew (Elizabeth). Eva will also be remembered by numerous great grand-nieces and nephews and great great grand-nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Kenny’s Pond Retirement Home for their loving and attentive care over the past 12 years.
Following Eva’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road, on Wednesday, November 18th at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. The funeral service will be live-streamed for those unable to attend. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made to the SPCA or the charity of one’s choice.
