Errol’s Obituary
Williams, Errol Leigh age 73 of Lockeport, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2020, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born April 10, 1947 in Lockeport, he was the son of the late Errol Williams Sr. and Maisie (Sears) Williams. During his working life, Errol worked at National Sea in Lockeport and then for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Over the years, Errol was a volunteer fire fighter with the Lockeport Fire Department and served as a member on the Lockeport Town Council. Working on lawnmowers and small engines was his favorite hobby and he loved having his grandchildren there to help. He started each day doing the cryptoquote, cross word puzzles and enjoyed reading books about ships. Errol was well known for his quick wit always having a good story to tell. Errol is survived by his spouse of 20 years Lorraine Chapman (Tikki), children Michelle (Danny) Ryer, Clyde River, Denise Cotter, Shelburne, Michael Leigh Williams (Sarah), Shelburne, Renee Williams (Jordan), Halifax; stepchildren Roy (Wendy) Chapman, Tara (Trevor) Roache, Adam & Erik Seegmiller; sisters Hattie Malloy, Helen (Richard) Broughm ; grandchildren Steven, Andrew, Taylor, Logan Ryer, Alana, Alex, Cole Cotter, Lucas, Halle, Ellie Williams, Joel, Ashley Roache, Cameron, Sylvi Chapman, many nieces and nephews who he loved. Errol was predeceased by his sister Gladys “Pauline” Swim. The family would like to thank all the staff at Surf Lodge Nursing Home for the care provided while Errol resided there. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Lockeport. Due to the current COVID-19 situation a Private Service will take place, and when times allow a Memorial Service will be held and be open to the public.
