Erminie’s Obituary
ATWOOD, Erminie Myrtle – 74, of Clark’s Harbour, passed away at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Friday, November 20, 2020. She was born in Clam Point to the late Jeremiah and Leona Hunt. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Merle Malcolm Atwood Sr., Clark’s Harbour; her children, Wanda (Warren) Amirault, Newellton; Merle Jr. (Sheila) Atwood, Newellton; Trena Atwood (Billy Nickerson), Oak Park; grandchildren, Charity (Gilson) Chase, Nathan (Pam) Nickerson, Jacey Atwood (Nick Brown); great-grandchildren, Malcolm, William Nickerson, Callie, Blakey Chase, Madeline Brown; step-granddaughter, April; mother-in-law, Pauline Atwood; sisters, Dorothy Smith, Maryanne (Alfred) Brannen, Margaret Hunt; brothers, Gerald Hunt, and Norman (Ruth) Hunt. She was predeceased by sisters, Rosland, Belinda, Hazel; brothers, Leland, Leeandrew, and Clardon. Erminie was a wonderful and full of fun wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved everyone; her children and grandchildren were her whole life. She loved going for evening drives, watching her favourite tv shows, having family gathers and taking care of Dad, making sure he had all of his cooked meals. What she loved most of all was talking on the phone every day to family and friends. Mom didn’t go far, she loved being at home and home is where she will be; we love you Mom. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Barrington. There will be no visitation or service by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association.
