In Loving Memory Of
Eric Charles Carrier
It is with a heavy heart we announce the tragic and sudden passing of Eric Charles Carrier, of Grande Prairie, on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at the age of 37.
Eric was a gentle giant with a generous heart. He was kind and loyal and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends, family and neighbours. He cherished his close friendships and would often “drop in” to say hello.
A true animal lover, Eric adopted several dogs in his lifetime and found great comfort in the companionship of the animals he brought home.
Eric also had a wicked sense of humour. He spent hours listening to comedians on satellite radio, collecting jokes and loved making others laugh. He also enjoyed watching hockey and baseball, and had a knack for memorizing sports stats, which he would enthusiastically share in a group setting.
In his spare time, Eric had a love of camping and boating. He was always trying to recreate his memories of Cozy Cove at Sturgeon Lake where he grew up camping as a child. After a rainstorm, he would comment that the smell reminded him of the lake.
Eric was a proud father of his son Darion. He relished in his young son’s inquisitive mind, boasting his accomplishments to his colleagues.
Eric is survived by his spouse Edna Willier, and their son Darion, stepdaughter Keri, stepson Levi, and daughter Mya. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents Charles and Lorraine Carrier of Grande Prairie, AB; sister Dominique Carrier-Robb (Jaime Robb); nieces Chloé, and Sophie; and nephew Sébastien of Calgary, AB.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Véronique and Paul St. André of Girouxville, AB; paternal grandparents Giselle and Hervey Carrier of Vernon, BC; and uncles Robert “Bob” St. André, and Léo St. Andre of Girouxville, AB.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Eric Charles Carrier May 13 1982 January 30 2020..
