Obituary
It is with sincere love and admiration we announce the passing and life well lived, of Emilie Martha Weich, on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at the age of 93 years. Emilie was born on April 11, 1927, on a farm outside Lemberg SK, where she grew up with her parents and four siblings. As a young woman she moved to Calgary and pursued a career with Thompson Drilling. She loved to travel, spend time with family and friends, sing and perform. She had a strong faith, commitment and involvement with her church. Later in life she married Art Weich and enjoyed thirty-six wonderful years with her new family and many blessings. Emilie was predeceased by her parents, siblings, husband and grandchild. She is survived by her step-daughters, Arleen and Elaine, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Louise Kaminski, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. A private family graveside service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of choice.
