Elizabeth Moore 1945 2020

Obituary of Elizabeth Moore
Elizabeth Anne Moore passed away at the Sus Health Centre in the early morning hours of August 21, 2020. She was born on September 15, 1945 in Yarmouth, NS and was the eldest daughter of Joyce (Huskins) and Percy Ellis.
She met the love of her life, Richard Moore and they married in 1962. Married for 57 years, they raised four children who were her pride and joy. Elizabeth loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and she deeply loved and prayed for each one. Her hope was to see her first two great grandchildren being born later this year. She loved to have fun and we have many memories which left us laughing as it was always an adventure when mom was involved! She loved the simple things in life like taking photos, especially of flowers, going for drives, watching the hummingbirds, crossword puzzles, camping at Camp Evangeline, and having picnics by the Bay of Fundy. She was an avid quilter and was proud to have had one of her quilts featured in Chatelaine magazine. Her embroidery work was impeccable, and she appreciated the ladies at Calvary Church putting her snowman quilt together for her when she was not able. Her famous homemade bread would draw all the neighborhood kids to the house on Saturday nights and she loved having her home filled with family and friends. She valued her friendships and the telephone chats brought joy to her day. Later in life, when it was difficult for her to leave the house, she would sit by the window and enjoy the serene scenery and beautiful sunsets over the hills at her home in Parleeville.
Elizabeth was a member of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and served beside her husband at many churches over the years. She was devoted to and loved the Lord with all her heart. The last few years she worshiped at Calvary Church in Sus and made many good friends there. She enjoyed singing and was blessed to be part of church choirs and could always be heard singing away while she was doing household chores. She was a small but mighty woman and all who knew her will never forget her.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Kathy (Daryl) Stuckless, sons Keith (Jane) Moore, Ross (Sarah) Moore, Graham (Wanda) Moore; grandchildren Caleb Stuckless, Caitlin, Jaeden, and Ashton Moore, Jared, Delaney (Edward Hebert), and Travis Moore, Tyler Wells, Phillip (Bern) Wells, and Brandon (Rachel) Moore; sister Nancy (Raymond) Doucette; several nieces and nephews. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her brother James Ellis, and sister Elaine Forbes.
The family would like to thank Dr. Pillay and the exceptional care she received from the nurses at the Sus Health Centre as well as the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, (506) 433-1176, from where visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. The funeral service will be held privately. Interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Elizabeth, can be made to Camp Evangeline (campevangeline.ca), Ratanak International (ratanak.org) or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences to the family and donations may be made through WallaceFuneralHome.com

  1. Richard and family: There are no words that can express our sorrow on Liz’s passing. I’m glad we had the opportunity to know her, even iif it seemed so briefly. Wayne passed away in July so they are both in the presence of Jesus. My condolences
