OBITUARIES
Elizabeth May Jolly
1954 – 2020
It is with heavy hearts and sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Elizabeth (Liz) May Jolly (nee Geswein) on Oct 23, 2020, in Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 66 years, with her husband by her side.
She will be deeply missed by her family. Her memory will live on through her children Yanna, Roberta, Mitchell; her siblings Gordie, Craig, Johnny, Elizabeth; and her grandchildren Lonnie, Liam, Mattias. She is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, 24 married, Russell Jolly. She was predeceased by her mother, Joyce Geswein. Liz will also be missed by many treasured relatives and friends, too numerous to mention.
Some of Liz’s greatest joys were spending time with her husband and family, volunteering at the Christmas Cheer Board, jigsaw puzzles, bingo, baking, and decorating for Christmas.
Our sincere gratitude to her staff at Riverview Health Centre for their warmth and consideration to make sure Liz was comfortable. Thank you to all of our family and friends who have made so many memories for Liz, which she will carry with her forever.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held at Bardal Funeral Home at 10:00 am, Thursday, November 12, 2020. Interment to follow at Saint Andrews on the Red. The service will be live-streamed on the Bardal Funeral Home Facebook page for all to participate. www.facebook.com/bardalfuneralhome .
We didn’t know what day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb,
So he closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered, “Peace Be Thine.”
For this journey that we all must take
And all must go alone.
It’s all part of the Master’s plan,
A step on the road to home.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
It breaks our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you
the day God called you home.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Elizabeth May Jolly 1954 2020..
