It is with deep sadness that the
family of the late ELIZABETH HACKETT of
English Harbour East announces her passing. Elizabeth passed
away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Sunday, January
5th, 2020 at the age of 79.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of
wonderful memories are her sisters, Alice Simpson (Walter) of Grand Le
Pierre, Ada Poole of English Harbour East, and Sheila Foote (Eugene)
of Burin; brothers, Guy Hackett (Hannah) of English Harbour East, and
Eric Hackett (Eileen) of Terrenceville; sister-in-law, Mercedes
Hackett of Brooks, AB; brother-in-law, Pat McKinnon of Kamloops, BC;
many nieces and nephews; plus a large number of family and
friends.
Elizabeth was predeceased
by her parents, Clayton & Winifred Hackett; brother, Bill
Hackett; and sisters, Joan McKinnon and Doreen Hackett.
The Hackett Family will be
accepting visitors at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church,
English Harbour East on Tuesday, January 7th
beginning at 2:00 p.m.; and Wednesday, January
8th all day. Mass of Christian Burial
will take place at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, English
Harbour East on a date and time to be announced.
In Elizabeth’s
memory donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, Daffodil
Place or flowers gratefully accepted.
