Memorial Donation
It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Elizabeth Stagg announce her passing at The Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on March 16th, 2020 at the age of 88 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her two daughters: Shirley (Sten) Falnes of Norway, Sharon (Alf) Sjoen of Stephenville; brother Brendan (Pam) Martin of Elliston; three sisters: Sophia (Wilson) Strowbridge of Brampton, ON, Hilda Martin of Charleston, Josephine Cook of Elliston, five grandchildren: Monique, Sonja, Terje, Svein, Ingrid, eight great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Willis and Emily Martin, her husband of 57 years Joseph William, sons Jefferson and Willis, brother Obediah. Visitation will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home for immediate family and close personal friends on Friday, March 20th, 2020 from 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 21st, 2020 at the Zion Pentecostal Church at 2pm with interment to follow at the Hillside Cemetery on the Hansen Highway. The family would like to thank the staff of the Medical Unit at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for the professional care given to their mother.
To uphold government regulations regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, seating at the funeral will be limited to less than 50 people and will be arranged to provide for social distancing.
