Elizabeth “Betty”‘s Obituary
ENGLAND, Elizabeth Mae “Betty” – 83, of Wilmot, passed away March 29, 2020 in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Margaret Johnson. She was a member of the Kingston United Baptist Church. She worked along with her husband Lawrence at Stronach Oils as secretary. In her early years, she looked after many children in the community. She was a past member of the Kingston Lions Club. She was an avid bingo player, loved to play a good game of 45’s and loved her family dearly, especially all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters Debbie Spidell, Forest Glade, Shirley England, Grand Prairie; sons Jeff (Debbie) England, Greenwich, Donald England, Wilmot; brother Terry (Gloria) Johnson, Bridgewater; grandchildren Trevor Spidell, Tracy Spidell, Stephanie England, Ariel England, Ashlee England, Andrew England; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Lawrence; sisters Gloria Silver, Marilyn Nowe; brothers Douglas Johnson, Sheldon Johnson; and a daughter in infancy. With respect to the current and ongoing concern with the Covid-19 pandemic and to keep everyone safe, the family has chosen to have a Celebration of Betty’s Life at a later date. Interment will take place in the North Kingston Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to Kingston United Baptist Church or the VON Annapolis Valley Branch.
