Obituary
On August 16, 2020, Elaine Faith MacKnight of Saint John passed away at the age of 55 after a long and valiant battle with cancer.
Born in Chatham, NB, Elaine graduated from Saint John High School in 1983 and from Mount Allison University in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. She worked for the Bank of Nova Scotia for many years in Saint John, Charlottetown, PEI, and Burlington, ON.
Elaine is survived by her parents, Jack and Gwen, both of Saint John; her sister Andrea of Saint John; brothers Stephen (Theresa) of St. Andrew’s and Christopher (Lisa) of Halifax, NS; nephews; Keith and William of St. Andrew’s, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents Louis and Muriel Savary of Moncton and Perley and Ernestine MacKnight of Chatham.
In keeping with Elaine’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or visiting held. The family would like to thank the staff of Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John for their compassionate care shown towards our daughter and sister.
Donations in Elaine’s memory may be made towards the Canadian Cancer Society or Bobby’s Hospice.
