Obituary
Peacefully on Saturday, December 26, 2020, Eileen Campbell passed away with family by her side at her residence at the age of 80 years.
She was predeceased by husband Jack Campbell; parents Harry and Alice Lequier; sisters Marlene and Pat; brother Lorne. Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her children Jack (Sheila) Campbell of Portage, Jim Campbell of Portage, Nancy Campbell (Ken Parkes) of Calgary and Michelle Campbell (Tom Popiel) of Dauphin; grandchildren Kaitlynn, Jacqlynn, Rodney, Dana, Derek, Leigh, Lynn, Brandon, Katrina, Tyson, Cameron, Mitchell and several great grandchildren; siblings Joe (Dorothy), Doreen, Jeannette, Leona (Dennis) and Bryon (Tina); sisters-in-law Iris Forsythe and Pat Grant; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Eileen was born in Portage la Prairie and attended the West Curtis and South Port schools. She married Jack Campbell in 1956 and they had four children. She was an excellent cook and found employment cooking at the Manitoba Inn, Government Building Cafeteria, Tasty Bakery and the Hamburger House as well as catering to many weddings. Eileen joined the Army, Navy, Air Force Ladies Auxiliary in 1968 and spent many hours there in volunteer work. She also volunteered selling Daffodils for the Cancer Society. In her younger years, Eileen played in every sport she could and coached baseball. She enjoyed bowling, crib and her flowers. Eileen loved being with people and would joke with them no matter what she was doing. Family and friends were very important to Eileen.
A celebration of Eileen’s life will take place at a later date. Interment will be held at the Oakville Cemetery.
