Edward Reid

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a loving husband and father, Edward (Cocky) Reid. Predeceased by his mother Mary Reid (nee Cooper), and father John Reid. Brother John (Bub), and Sisters Loretta (Lol), and Donna. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Cathy Reid (nee King), devoted son Randy (Jessica), step-son Michael (Jessica), son Chris (Holly), and daughter Crystal (Bill). Grandchildren Brayden, Emily, Peyton, and Christopher. Also leaving to mourn his brothers Jim (Mary), Bill (Hazel), Glen (Tina), Terry, and Ricky (Leona). Sisters Maryanne (Jim), Karen, and Cindy. Also leaving many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind an enormous circle of wonderful friends.
Cocky was loved by everyone he met. His laughter was infectious, and he always left you smiling. He had a passion for horseshoes, sports, darts, fishing and tormenting. Very seldom did he miss a horseshoe tournament at the Irish loop, where he made many lifelong friends. Baseball was his passion. He basically raised Randy Reid between the baseball field and their front yard.
He met many wonderful people throughout many dart leagues over the years. He also loved to relax fishing off the wharf near his country home which he was so proud of. Everyone was always welcome there. We would like to extend many thanks to the circle of friends who supported him during his very difficult time.
If you knew Cocky, you knew that he loved tormenting his friends. Whether it was teasing someone about his team winning the night before or playing a prank and placing blame on the closest person.
Cocky spent the last 23 years of his working career at Torbay Road Apartments as a Resident Manager. The people that he met along the way had a huge impact on his life; most recently, Killam Properties, who have shown a tremendous amount of compassion in the end of his journey. To them, many thanks.
The family would like to extend their thanks to their medical team, Dr. Cindy Fontaine, Dr. Sean O’Leary, Rayleen Rice, S-LP and Dr. Kyna Squarey.
Cremation has already taken place. The memorial service will take place at a future date to be announced.
