Edith Jean (Tingley) Fairweather
It is with heavy hearts that
we announce the passing of our dear mother Edith J. Fairweather, 89,
of Quispamsis (formerly Moncton) on Friday May 8, 2020 at the Saint
John Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born Sept 13, 1930 in
Sackville, NB she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ida (Hicks)
Tingley.
Mom was a kind, caring,
nurturing and supportive person. She was a retired Registered Nurse at
the Moncton Hospital with 35 years service. She was a member of St.
John’s United Church and past President of Unit F UCW. She was a
graduate of The Moncton Hospital School of Nursing and a member of the
Moncton Hospital Alumnae, the Nurses Hospital Auxillary, PROBUS Club
of Moncton and the Greater Moncton Quilters
Guild.
She will be sadly missed by
her daughters, Susan (Gregg) Gorham, Nashwaak Village; Kathy (David)
Anderson, Rothesay; son, Scott (Ann) Fairweather, Campbellton.
Grandchildren, Andrew, Kelly, Ryan, Kristen and Joshua. Great
grandchildren, Rori, Reese, Hunter, Tate, Reun, Olivia and Jayden;
sisters, Martha Schultz and Merilyn Myra as well as several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents,
she was predeceased by her husband Ronald E. Fairweather (2000);
brothers Arthur Tingley and Harry Tingley Jr.; sisters Ruth Chisholm
and Audrey Cormier and half brothers Donald and Herman
Tingley.
Mom enjoyed many summers at
the trailer in Shediac and walks along the beach with her family and
friends.

Fellows, the staff of Concorde Hall and SJRH 5C North and 4A
North.
Due to Covid-19, the family
will be having a private burial service at the Sackville
Cemetery.
