Edith’s Obituary
Edith Irene Goulding nee Owens went home to be with the Lord on November 17th, 2020, at approximately 2:10am. She was surrounded by her loving husband of 49 years and her 3 children. Edith loved and served the Lord faithfully her entire life. The Lord was beside her through every mountain and through every trying valley. She never lost faith in Him through several bouts with cancer. Prayer and her love for God inspired her to face every day. No matter what she was facing personally, she always put others ahead of herself: offering prayer and encouragement to everyone she loved.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband – Sterling Goulding, her Children – Lori Anne Sparkes (Jerry); Justin Goulding; April Hallikas (Andrew) her Grandchildren – Austin (Katie); Cameron; Brooke; Tyrone; Ethan; Logan; Caden; Drake; Gianna; Eva; Benjamin, her Great Grandchildren – Amelia; Luca, her Siblings – Hilda Keats; Isabelle Normore (Lloyd); Peggy Tavenor (Roy); John Owens (Joan); Jim Owens; Leonard Owens In-Laws – Dorman Goulding (Charlotte); Louise Layte; Muriel Taylor; Wilhelmina Goulding; Melvin Goulding (Peggy); Baxter Goulding (Triffie); Otto Goulding (Emmie); Gay Elliot (Glen); Carol-Ann Goulding; William Wiseman; Rick Hunt; Gloria Cross; her Special Aunt – Viola Cross, Countless extended family members and friends, including cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Edith was pre-deceased – Winnie Owens (Mother); John Owens (Father); Ralph Goulding (Father-in-Law); Winnie Goulding (Mother-in-Law); Bruce Cross (Brother); Olive Wiseman (Sister); Larry Owens (Brother); Mary Hunt (Sister); Kenneth Keats (Brother-in-law); Aubrey Goulding (Brother-in-Law); Jesse Goulding (Brother-in-Law); Olive Goulding (Sister-in-Law); Glen Cross (Uncle); Clydie Butt (Aunt).
The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Thursday, November 19th, 2020, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 20th, 2020, at 2:00 pm at the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church on Bennett Ave, Deer Lake, NL, with Pastor Jeffrey White officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, on Wight’s Road, Deer Lake, NL.
