Edgar Charles Banfield passed peacefully away on March 1, 2020 at Tiffany Village, aged 86 years.
Predeceased by parents Charles and Amelia Banfield (McEachren), step mother Mary Banfield (Martin), wife Joan Violet Banfield (Bennett), siblings Robert, Nora, Lloyd and Joan.
Leaving to mourn children Rosalyn Williams (John), Juanita O’Leary (Sean), Robert Banfield (Paula), Valerie Weeks, Barry Banfield (Mabel), and Lisa King (Wayne), grandchildren Elliot, Katy, Kourtney, Cavan, Ryan, Stephanie, Susan, Jamie Lee, Robbie, Emily, Allison, and Travis, great-grandchildren Lucas, Robyn, and Lola, siblings William (Billy) Banfield, Charles Banfield (Edith), Derek Banfield (Liz), Marilyn Riggs (Leroy), and Kathleen LeMessurier (Brian), as well as extended family and friends.
Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday, March 3 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 4 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from St. Thomas Anglican Church on Thursday, March 5 at 11 a.m.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
