E. Flora’s Obituary
Smith, Flora – Evangeline Flora-Ellen Smith, age 67 of Wallace Highlands, passed away May 21, 2020 in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late Ward C. and Phyllis M. (Anderson) Chapman. Flora loved crafts whether it was crochet, knitting, needlepoint or any other. She was a wonderful baker, especially her bread and enjoyed playing with the Malagash Ladies Games Group. She was also a founding member of the Amherst Farmers’ Market in 1974. Flora is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Ward (Tasha); 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Mackie (Carol) and Bedford (Brenda); several nieces and nephews; Richard’s siblings, Linda (Fred) Wildsmith, Billy (Janet) Smith and Debbie (Ronnie) Gilroy. She was predeceased by one grandchild; brother, Albert and his wife, Nina; sister-in-law, Patricia Smith. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. A funeral service will be held at a later date when people are allowed to gather. Memorial donations to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
