JENNEX, Douglas William (HALIFAX) aged 78, son of the late John Jennex and Phyllis (Francis) passed away May 27th at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Montreal, he spent his career in business and sales. In his younger years, he was an active volunteer fire fighter, rising to Captain of the Roxboro Fire Department in Roxboro, Montreal. He enjoyed a cold beer and a good laugh, and was a talented singer. In his later years, he lent his talents to the New Players Choral Society where he took part in many public performances. He was predeceased by his younger sister, Carol. Doug is survived by his wife of 56 years, Denise (Bordeleau), children Steven (Heather Ann), Carol Anne (George), Alison (John) and 11 grandchildren. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at the QEII Health Sciences Centre Dialysis Unit, and asks that any donations in Doug’s memory be directed there through the QEII Foundation.
